MBTI

What are your preferences?

Based on Carl Jung’s theory of psychological types and further developed by Katherine Briggs and Isabel Myers, the Myers-Briggs indicator measures and describes people’s preferences in four areas. It looks at eight personality preferences, organized into four scales.

After more than 70 years of research and development, the MBTI® is the most widely used instrument for understanding individual personality differences: more than two million people use it every year, individually or as a team.

Frequently asked questions

What is the MBTI®?

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, based on Carl Jung’s theory of psychological types and developed by Katherine Briggs and Isabel Myers, describes your preferences in four areas: energy orientation, taking in information, making decisions and approach to action.

Is the MBTI® a personality test that judges people?

No. It describes preferences, not skills: there is no good or bad type. The questionnaire is the starting point of a conversation with your coach, who helps you validate your preferences.

How does discovering my type work?

You complete an online questionnaire, then have an in-depth conversation with a certified coach to validate your preferences. You leave with your MBTI® type and a personalized report.

Can the MBTI® help with career choices?

Yes. Knowing your preferences is a valuable tool for assessing potential career choices. See also our career coaching.

How is it different from Process Communication?

The MBTI® describes your preferences; Process Communication focuses on communication and behaviour under stress. The two tools complement each other, and we choose them according to your goals.

Can coaching be done remotely?

Yes. Guillemette Moreau meets clients in Montreal and Laure Pélissier in Paris, and both coach online, in English and in French.
