Professional Transition Coaching

To support your people when their career path changes: a new role, a new job, a departure, a return, a new culture.

Turning change into an opportunity, for the person as much as for the organization. Individual or team coaching to take stock of one’s strengths, clarify one’s goals and look ahead.

  • 5 transitions from a new role to leaving
  • Individual or team one person or a whole team
  • With your HR team goals set together
  • In person or online wherever you are

The 5 transitions we support

  1. Promotion and new roles

Internal promotion or external hire: succeed in the first months of a new management or leadership role, and go the distance to month eighteen.

    Discover Leadership Transition Coaching

    • Managing former colleagues after an internal promotion
    • Quickly understanding the culture of a new organization
    • Clarifying the mandate and choosing the first victories
  2. Talent redeployment

In the face of digital or industrial transformation, help your employees move into new jobs within the company (upskilling, reskilling).

    • Taking stock of one’s strengths and transferable skills
    • Projecting oneself into a new job and making it a choice
    • Getting through the learning curve without losing confidence or motivation
  3. Leaving the company

When a working relationship ends, support the person emotionally and help them clarify their career plans. The human cost of a badly handled departure also weighs on the team that stays and on the organization’s reputation.

    • Regaining confidence and legitimacy
    • Finding a sustainable pace and setting limits
    • Realigning expectations with one’s manager and team
  5. Cultural transitions

Mergers and acquisitions, multicultural teams, joining a new organization, mobility between France and Quebec.

    Discover cultural transitions coaching

    • Adapting to a new work culture
    • Rethinking how one communicates, beyond language
    • Helping teams from different cultures work together

One approach in three stages

Whatever the transition, coaching helps the person move from a change they undergo to a change they choose.

  1. Take stock

What is changing, how it feels, and a review of one’s strengths.

  2. Clarify

One’s own goals, what matters next, and what the organization expects.

  3. Look ahead

Plan the transition and take action, with a concrete plan.

“Very helpful during this professional transition. Each session felt like a real pause every two weeks and helped me take a step back. Guillemette really knows how to listen. She shows great energy, a strong ability to synthesize and real corporate expertise; she understands the business world and management issues.”

Frequently asked questions

What is transition coaching?

Individual or team coaching that helps a person or a team go through a change in their career path: a promotion, a new job, a departure, a return after an absence or a change of culture. It helps them take stock of their strengths, clarify their goals and look ahead.

Do you provide outplacement?

No. When someone leaves, our role is to support them emotionally and help them clarify their career plans. The job search itself is a matter for an outplacement firm.

Does coaching replace medical follow-up after burnout or illness?

No, it complements it. Coaching focuses on the return to work: confidence, pace, relationships with the team. Health follow-up remains the job of health professionals.

Who pays for the coaching?

Most often the company, which sets the coaching goals together with the person and the coach. What is said in sessions remains confidential.

Do you also work with teams?

Yes, particularly during a merger or acquisition, or in multicultural teams, to keep cultural differences and preconceptions from undermining day-to-day communication and collaboration.

Can I be coached remotely?

Yes. We meet clients in Montreal, Quebec City and Paris, and with videoconferencing we work with you wherever you are.
